The Interactive Media course will be for 14 weeks, 9 hours a week.
Week
1-5
The first 5 weeks will be taken up with lectures by Wayne Harrison on how to work with Apple DVD Studio Pro, starting from a basic level to an advance level. Once the lecture has finished, students will follow the lessons based on the topics of that day which can be found on the current timetable.
Week 5-10
Each student will work on their own individual projects by creating a simple or complex interactive DVD presentation using still images, video clips, sound and text. Once the students have completed their DVD presentation they can take a copy to keep for their showreel.
Week 11-14
The last 4 weeks will be taken up with the students completing the NCFE Interactive Media Portfolio which covers 4 units in total. For more information please see the qualification section.
